I want to perform a standard error calculation. And the data is stored in my excel sheet. Please guide me through the steps of the procedure to find the solution.
How To Make The Standard Error Calculation With The Data Stored In Excel?
Step1. First to find the standard error calculation you need to have the mean of the values. Let’s understand this with an example.
Find the mean of the entire student’s weight which in my case will be
Step2. After this step, you need to obtain the deviation by subtracting the above value from every student’s weight.
Step3. Find the square of the deviances.
Step4. Figure out the sum of the values obtained from step five which in my case will be 154.4.
Step5. Now you have to divide the deviation’s sum of the squares from n-1, n=number of an entity, which in total will be 38.625 in the given an example.
Step6. To figure out the standard deviation first find out the value’s square root you got from the division, which will be 6.2149 in the example.
Step7. Divide the above value of SDby the square root of n, i.e.,the total number of the entity which will give the result 1.242980 which will be the standard error value.
