I play “Cabal Online” during my spare time and I haven’t encountered any error until now. When I start the game client, I receive an error saying “CabalMain.exe” can’t start because it is not compatible with x64 Microsoft Windows. It says something about “Unsupported 16-Bit Application”. The game is stuck on this screen and I can’t play the game.

Though I play “Cabal Online” most of the day, I haven’t encountered this kind of error. The first time I play Cabal Online was way back 2014 but I suddenly stopped because of the rampant game hacking and robbing players of their in-game money. Personally, I even lost millions of “alz”, the in-game money. The only things left in my warehouse were my equipment and other items.
I started playing again this January 2019 and everything has changed. The game is now protected against hacking with XIGNCODE. Also, the game interface is no longer the same as before. The quick slot now has two rows though the background music is still the same. This error can be triggered in different ways:
By clicking “Check Files” in the game client.
An error encountered while the launcher or the game client is downloading the latest patch.
A third-party program like cheat tool is running.
Your computer is infected with a virus.
There are different ways to fix the problem. First is to copy “CabalMain.exe” from another computer with a working game client and replace the corrupted file on your computer. If you are playing “Cabal Online (PH)”, go to this Cabal Online PH Google Drive and download the file. The “CabalMain.exe” file is located in “C:\Program Files (x86)\CABAL Online (NA – Global)”.
If this doesn’t work, reinstall Cabal Online. To avoid downloading the entire update again, don’t uninstall. Just run the installer and install over the existing installation. But before you re-install the game client, make sure to disable your antivirus temporarily. Installing the game client while an antivirus is active usually corrupts some files. This should fix the problem.
