I want  to have a convenient way to email all of my clients at once to advertise new specials and other things of that nature.

Lot of free email clients are available on the internet to do this kind of work with ease. I have listed some of the best one here.

  1. Mozilla Thunderbird – Best one available with lots of addons.
  2. Opera Mail – Inbuilt within Opera with lot of new features.
  3. Windows Live Mail – Made for windows fans.

There are also paid email clients with new features like Postbox and Microsoft Outlook available to email in large numbers to all your clients.

For use just add the email address of all your clients to the database and then send them to all on one click.

Hi Reggie, 

MS Outlook is commonly used even for Enterprise businesses and I’m positive that this will also cover most of your email related needs. As long as you have all the list of your clients email addresses then you should be okay. All you have to do is:
1. Get all Contacts Email addresses into Outlook. You can add them one by one or you can import all contacts from an excel file. 
2. Create a distribution list in Outlook so that whenever you need to send something in bulk all you have to do is just select one entity. 
a. How to create a distribution list: 
i. Go to Contacts > Click New > Select Distribution List then Name the distribution list > Add your contacts.
As you can see, the challenging part is just preparing all information but when you’re done everything will just be a breeze.

If you want to setup an email that you can send to all clients or to multiple email addresses, you need to build a mailing list. A mailing list is basically just another group in your contacts that contains many different email addresses of the people whom you want to send the same email message. This is good for marketing.

There are applications designed for mass email sending but you can also do it on your own using an email client. Here’s an example with Mozilla Thunderbird. In Mozilla Thunderbird, click “Address Book”. In the “Address Book” window, click “New List” then enter the details on the “Mailing List” dialog and then click “OK”. You can also already add email addresses to the list or do it later.


Once the list is created, go to your contacts and drag the email addresses you want to include on the mailing list to your newly created list. Once your mailing list is populated, time to send a mass email. On the “Address Book” window, click on your list to select then click “Write”. Compose your message and then send it. And that’s it.
