Hello Ammelia,

Those viruses really do lead someone on a merry go round when it comes to removing them. However, thanks to the internet there are a couple of plausible ways to remove them; you can start by applying the following steps;

1.      Open the infected drive directory (e.g. drive F:, drive C:, drive D: etc )

2.      Open the tool tab, click on folder option and select view tab

3.      Unclick on both "hide extension for known file type" and "hide protected OS files (recommended)" if any warning appears just ignore it and select/yes.

4.      You should now be able to see your lost file; it’s in a file that appears transparent.

5.      Open the hidden folder, cut the file and paste it inside a new folder (you can repeat the steps for other  files too)

6.      Delete all old folders that are empty and also the 1kB shortcut folder

7.      After finishing undo steps  2 and 3

Try regularly updating your antivirus so that it is up to date with the latest viruses.
