Hi Adrian,

Every computer must have antivirus software which is must-have protection against computer virus. I suggested the following best antivirus software for windows based on its performance and helpful features such as Bitdefender Internet Security Suite, Avira Internet Security 2012, Bitdefender Sphere, Kaspersky Internet Security 2012, and F-Secure Internet Security Suite.

It could be infected of any computer related threats, scams or have the numerous of different viruses and worms if you have not updated your antivirus program in a month.

This means that if it is not regularly update it will be vulnerable to any computer virus or worm that has been released since your last update. I forcefully suggested that make an effort on updating as much as possible at least three times a month.

Hoping this will help you.

Actually, any antivirus programs can last a month without even updating it. It will never stop working even if you don’t update it for a month there will be no problem. The only downside of it though is the ability of the program to detect and recognize latest threats in the web.

That’s the reason why all antivirus programs need to be updated on a regular basis. There is not a single antivirus that doesn’t require updating. It will be totally useless if an antivirus is not updated for a long time and new threats are already circulating all around it. Your computer will be like a sitting duck that is waiting to be shot.

Even popular antivirus programs like Norton Internet Security, Norton AntiVirus, Kaspersky, McAfee, and others, need to be updated regularly. All of them use virus signatures to identify different threats. The identity of a threat like a virus is stored as a virus signature, and the virus signature is added to the database of the antivirus’ server.

And when you update your antivirus, the program will be downloading the virus signatures as virus definitions, and this is the component that the antivirus will be using in identifying different threats that will try to penetrate the system.
