I bought my Nokia N8 in US and not I am in Italy. When I try to connect with Skype I get an ‘unable to connect to Skype server’ error, I think it is because of local Skype server problem. Am I right and If so how do I correct this error? Or is it because of something else?
This is a common problem but it can be solved. From the looks of it I can diagnose the problem as being a network problem. Most probably you phone was configured with the United States internet setting and therefore can not work in Italy.
These configurations can be changed either manually of a downloaded configuration file from your network operator. Contact you network operator for this.
It is not possible because Nokia N8 is a Symbian phone and Skype does not support it. Skype is available for Android and iOS. The Nokia N8 mobile phone is not an Android phone. It runs on Symbian. The Nokia N8 is a discontinued 3G Smartphone operating on 2G and 3G network bands using GSM and HSPA technologies.
