Hello, I am using Ubuntu. Every time I try to open my software center it gives me an error message saying could not find a CD.
How can i solve this problem?
Error: scanning the CD
Could not find a suitable CD.
How to get rid of “could not find a CD” error?
Hi,
Very simple problem I think.
I can see on your screenshot that your mouse pointer is near 'Add Volume'. Don't click there. You have to clikd on 'Add' at the left side.
Have you done what I said?
If you do it, your problem will be solved at once.

How to get rid of “could not find a CD” error?
Hi there user:
I did a one (1) minute searching for the solution for this problem. Five (5) sites I rolled and tested, until I came to this classic way of cleaning various types of disk.
Download/Purchase disk scanning software. Here you can get list of additional freeware disk utilities for checking different storage type. http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/Hard-Disk-Utils/HDD-Scan.shtml
Take note that the often you use the optical disk, the longer it operates.
