I was trying to flag some ones emails so I would know when they come in . I have not been able to figure out how to set this up this option . Does anyone have a quick tip

If you have upgraded to “OS X Mountain Lion” from a previous version of OS X, Mail’s VIP’s list might not be automatically enabled in mail. But it is very easy to enable it. All you have to do is point the cursor over the person’s email you want to add in your VIP’s list. Then right-click and select “add to VIP’s list”. You are done. You can also do this by pointing the cursor over the person’s name and clicking the “stars” when they appear.
You can also set Apple’s notification center only to notify you about the emails you receive from your VIP’s. In order to do so, go to mail preferences> general> new email notifications> select-VIP’s.
This is how you color the messages you receive from your important persons.
