I know how to delete mario forever bar in a Firefox browser, I would like to ask if anyone can tell me if how it is done in a Google Chrome browser. I have tried looking it up in the settings but I cannot seem to find it, are there add-ons Tab in a Google Chrome?
The “Mario Forever” toolbar is not actually a virus. It is a browser hijacker promoted by other free downloads. Once installed, it will add the Mario Forever Community Toolbar, change your browser home page to without quotes “search.conduit.com”, and configure your default search engine to without quotes “Mario Forever MD Customized Web Search”.
Though it is not technically a virus but its behavior shows lots of malicious traits like rootkit capabilities to hook deep into the operating system, browser hijacking, and in general just interfering with the user experience. The industry refers to it as “potentially unwanted program” or “PUP”. To remove this browser hijacker from your computer, first, you need to uninstall the toolbar.
Download the free version of Revo Uninstaller and install it. Once installed, start Revo Uninstaller then select “Search Protect by conduit, Mario Forever Toolbar” among the applications and click “Uninstall”. Follow the normal uninstall process. When you are prompted to restart the computer, click to restart later. When uninstall is complete, click “Scan” to scan your computer for any leftover files and delete everything it finds.
This removes everything the program created on your computer. When it is finished, close Revo Uninstaller then restart the computer. After booting, repeat the same steps to uninstall any recently installed applications or unknown programs. After this, remove the toolbar from your browser. For Google Chrome, click the menu then select “More Tools” or “Tools” then “Extensions”.
In the “Extensions” tab, look for “Mario Forever MD” then click the trash can on the right to remove it. Next, restore the default search engine. Click the menu then “Settings”. In the “Settings” tab, under “Search” section, click “Manage search engines”. In “Default search settings”, look for “Conduit”, select it then click the “X” to remove it. Select “Google” then click “Make default”.
Next, under “On startup” section, select “Open the New Tab page”. After this, close the browser then scan your computer. Download Sophos Virus Removal Tool and install it. Once installed, start Sophos then wait for the virus signature database to get updated. When updating is complete, click to start scanning your machine.
When a virus is found at the end of the scan, remove it then repeat the scan over and over until it no longer detects a virus. When it is finished, download AdwCleaner and install it. Once installed, start AdwCleaner then scan your computer.
