Getting Black Screen upon boot up
I get a black screen upon boot up and it gives me an error message about a "LogonUI.exe application error". I am not computer savvy and I don't know what to do. Can someone help?

This happened to me once, what I did was to run startup repair from the start up diagnostic. The start up repair can be found on the installation disk of your OS. Depending on you manufacturer if they installed it on your hard drive, you can also find it there.
To launch it from you OS installation disk, you should reboot your computer using the installation disk. Insert the disk, restart your computer then when prompted press any key to start windows from the installation disk. Choose your language settings, click next then click Repair your computer, select the OS you need repaired then next. You will see the System Recovery Options menu and from there click Startup Repair.
This is what did the trick for me. Try it and let me know.
It doesn't seem to allow me to start from CD. How do I change that? It just reboots normally.
Looks like your computer is not configured to start from a CD, you may need to change your computer's BIOS settings. I would recommend you check your computer manual for the proper way to get to the BIOS – it could be F2, F12, DEL, or ESC which you need to press once your computer boots up.  Once inside the BIOS look for something that will allow you to change the boot up sequence, just change the priority to boot to CD. Let me know how it goes.
Hi again,
I did follow your instructions in my case it's DEL, and I was able to change the boot sequence to CD. I was able to complete the start repair but I still have the same issue. Anything else I should try?
In that case, you can try going to the Recovery Screen and select System Restore. Check if you have a restore point – at least a recent one just before you had the problem then go back to that.
Or you may also try "Last Known Good Configuration" by tapping on F8. Any of these options should work for you.
I tried the Last known Good Configuration and it worked! Thanks for your help, Roblox_!!
