Well If you are running your flash disk on windows XP then it XP some of the drives usually show problems.

Go to the format option of the flash disk.

See the default format (NTFS,FAT, FAT32,exFAT)…. if you see that they are (NTFS,FAT,FAT32) then these are all formattable in windows XP, but if you find that it is ex-FAT then i am sorry to say it is not formattable in xp. for that you need vista or higher operating systems.

But if you have these operating systems then all i can say is try formatting them over and over again.I hope that will solve your problem.

Sometimes flash disks have corrupted data. So no need to be worried at all follow these simple steps.

Click My Computer/ right click removable or floppy disk/ click FORMAT.

After you click the format button your drive starts formatting. When formatting completes it shows you the dialog box FORMATTING COMPLETED  click the OK button your removable disk is now formatted.

OR you can click the safely removable devices.

Check removable components.

On hardware components select your drive and click properties on the policy tab click optimize the performance then click ok.

You can now easily format your drive.

This kind of error or problems happens to the USB flash or memory.

The possible reason for the said  problem is that the flash disk or memory card is damage or corrupted and the operating system of the computer won't read or recognize the device.

Nowadays there are several solution that may use in order to recover or fix the error for the said problem.

Hi You don't need to be worried about that.sometimes it happens. To format the flash drives you have to follow the given steps:

At first, You have to right click “My computer” and then select messages. after that , you have to open the device manager and find your USB drive under the Disk Drives heading. Then  you should do Right click the drive and then select properties.

You should choose policies tab and select the “Optimize for performance” option. Then click Ok and after that open “My computer”. Then finally select Format on the flash drive.

There, you will see 3 types of file system :FAT, FAT32,NTFS. You can choose NTFS in the file system.so finally device formatting is going to be completed. But if the face in NTFS file system then you can choose FAT32 file system. It is also convenient for formatting.

Try that one.Best of luck
