Possibly because of oppressed modifying on Macintosh's part or because of a try to upset music robbery, the iPod rearrange as it falls "off the ledge" can just load MP3 records from one workstation. Provided that you attempt to load MP3 documents from an additional PC all at one time stacked MP3 records are erased.

NOTE: The more seasoned, more extensive iPods don't have this situation. How can I file shuffle on a Mac?

File shuffle Mac problem of deleting MP3

It’s a common issue with iPod shuffle with Mac OS X. Whenever you try to load Mp3 files from additional PC all previously loaded Mp3 files get erased.

There is one way to overcome this issue. There is software called “rebuild_db” with version 1.0-rc1 which enables us to finally get rid of all that complicated play list management stuff. With this software you can use you iPod shuffle as regular MP3 player. You will able to upload MP3 files from both Windows and Mac. In ‘non-shuffle’ mode it will arrange the file alphabetically.

Using the software is quite easy. Just you have to set rebuild_db.py in iPod's root directory. If you are using Mac, while double clicking the “rebuild_db.py” you will be asked to choose one application to open it. Select “Terminal”. After running the program quit from “Terminal”, otherwise it will not allow you to eject your iPod shuffle.

On Windows computer you can simple double click it.

Here is the link to download it http://shuffle-db.sourceforge.net/  and to get more details.

The settings should be like the screenshot shows.
