Hi all,

I failed to open .ppt file. I am facing this message:

"This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Create an association in the Set Associations control panel"

I am facing this for the first time so I feel tensed and search help from this forum. My operating system is Windows Vista Home Premium 32bit. I am hoping that the answer should be in easy language. Help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

You have to approach right association of file. The case may like that you want to open a Microsoft office word file on Microsoft office PowerPoint. This will not open a word file because PowerPoint does not support it. You have to open a word file on MS word.

You want to open .ppt file. .ppt is an extension of MS office PowerPoint 2003. If this type of file is not opened in your system, make sure MS office PowerPoint is installed in your system. If you have latest versions of MS PowerPoint such as MS office PowerPoint 2007 etc. It will also open .ppt files are backward compatible. All ppt files can open on MS PowerPoint 2007, whose extension is .pptx. But MS PowerPoint 2007 files cannot open on MS PowerPoint 2003.

Use the link below and download PowerPoint. so that you can open .ppt files.
