Failure to load inetcpl.cpl issue

I was accessing the Internet Explorer (IE) when the following strange message error of my PC appeared on the screen saying “error loading c:windowssystem32inetcpl.cpl. The specified module can’t be found.” My father who has a background in computer troubleshooting offered a hand to resolve the problem. According to him, the error was caused by the computer viruses that damaged the internal files of my personal computer.

And so, he applied the full scan to all the hard drives on my laptop but there was no virus or threat found. Therefore, he uninstalled the IE, restarted the laptop and installed it again. When I initiated the IE again, the same error had appeared. Until now, my father is trying his best to fix the problem.

I am hoping to help him through your suggestions. Please help me to help my father. Thank you very much in advance.

Hi

Just like your father has said, this issue is probably caused by a virus or malware and made a mess with your Internet Explorer, now removing and reinstalling Internet Explorer is a good first step but the virus or malware that infected your virus may have messed with your registry or maybe even deleted the missing file. Now in this case, I can suggest you look in C:/windows/system32 and try and see if the file missing is there, if it's not there you could try using System Repair on your PC and try restoring that missing file with your Installation CD. Considering you have freshly installed Internet Explorer and checked for viruses, repairing your Windows should do the trick.

Hello My Dear,

This is only due to a virus. Inetcpl.cpl is a shortcut entry to find the properties of Internet Explorer. Just type this into RUN, and press enter. You will see that your Internet Explorer's property page is in front of you, and now your Internet Explorer launcher or the main Internet Explorer file has been infected by viruses. I suggest you use Panda Antivirus 2013 Pro version to resolve this problem. You can download the program from this link.

After that, please update your browser. I hope you enjoy it. Thanks.
