Hi,

I received the following error message converting my Boot Camp disk partition to a VMware virtual machine. Is there any way to resolve this issue? I am looking for an expert’s advice. Please suggest me proper. Thanks.

 

 

Cannot connect file “/Users/wheatwil/Library/Application Support/VMwareFusion/VirtualMachine/Boot Camp/%2Fdev%2Fdisk0/Boot CampPartition.vmwarevm/auto detect” as a CD-ROM image: Could not find the file.

Virtual device ide1:0 will start disconnected.

Hi Eugene,

The error is because there is insufficient space on hard disk.
To resolve this error follow the below steps:
1) Launch fusion
2) In the Fusion menu bar, Click 'Window' > 'Virtual Machine Library'
3) Right Click 'Boot Camp', Select 'Library'
4) Click 'Import'
5) Enter the username and password, Click 'OK'
6) Click 'Import' to launch Import Assistance
7) After the launch is completed, newly created virtual machine is installed in Virtual Machine Library window
