External PB Hard disk 1 t not working. Driver issue?

I have bought an external hard disk that has 1 TB space and is from Packard Bell. See link here (in Italian): http://www.ciao.it/Packard_Bell_Carbon_Hard_disk_1_TB__1301351

The problem is my Windows XP Pro doesn't recognize it, but I don't have the drivers for it. I've received drivers for Windows 7, but not XP. Please help t.

External PB Hard disk 1 t not working. Driver issue?

Hi Jack

You are connecting your External Hard Disk to windows XP professional but it is not recognized because of that you don’t have installed USB Driver for your windows XP.

 

Any external hard disk does not need to install their own driver. It is recognized by your USB Port so you have to install or update the USB Driver not External Hard Disk Driver. 

 

I am giving you the link to update USB Driver for your Windows XP Professional. 

Now your External Hard Disk will recognized by USB Port.
