I have Verizon Internet and I'm experiencing connection issues. It is most of the time slow and intermittent, and in my modem every time I lose the connection the DSL light starts to blink. What does it mean and how can I fix it? Is it a modem issue or problem with the Verizon Network?

Check first the cable connecting to your DSL modem/router. Make sure that they are all firmly connected. Most of the time there is just a loosen wire. The physical connection or wiring is the first thing that should be checked first. Try turning off the modem for 5 sec then on. This should refresh the modem to avoid hanging. Then run some speedtest of your internet connection. There are plenty of free speedtest that you can test your pc. Like this one here; (http://www.speedtest.net.) If the wiring seems ok in your house then call your network provider. The problem might be the outside wiring now. It's the technician who will then check the box at the pole outside. The wiring there might be loosen or disconnected.
