Exchange Online: Got problem after adding a new user

Does anyone here know what to do with the error "Service related error has occurred" in Exchange Online?

We added a new user yesterday, and this error message together with a RED cross were displayed next to that user. Another message popped up when we clicked on that user. It says “exchange: No mailbox plan with SKU capability 'BPOS_L_Standard' was found."

I got one more message and I was able capture it on the screen. I hope this information helps, and someone here will be able to give me some feedback.

Well, that seems to be an error with the location of the database where the details are being saved, If you changed the database location on the local host, then it could be the reason why the destination cannot be found when you add the details. I will suggest that you try the following:

  • Restart the database, and you can restart the computer too just to refresh the settings and see if that will solve the problem.
  • You may need to install ms exchange again, and then configure the directory path where the details are being stored, in case the problem may be with the database location on your computer.
