Hello there,

After installing Sublime Text 2 and try to run it this error with DLL appeared. I have downloaded and copied the DWrite.dll on system32 and is not working. I have reinstalled the program several times and again this error. Anyone have any idea what is with this error ? How can I solve it and why it doesn’t work after I did everything that the error says ?

Thank you !

C:Windowssystem32DWrite.dII is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support.

Since the program is throwing an error about a DLL file located in the system32 folder, I suspect of a compatibility problem. But when I try to check for the program’s system requirements, it doesn’t point to specific versions. So I would guess, Sublime Text 2 has full support for all Microsoft Windows versions both 32-bit and 64-bit editions.

And it’s the same with Linux, it has include full support for all Linux flavors both 32-bit and 64-bit. For Mac OS X users, Sublime Text 2 requires Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard and higher. Older versions are not supported. Because your problem is a DLL file, try reinstalling Sublime Text 2 but when installing it back don’t use the same installer you used before.

Download a fresh copy of the installer from Sublime Text 2. When downloading, make sure to select the correct download for Microsoft Windows because it has separate versions for 32-bit and 64-bit installers. If you have a 32-bit operating system, download the 32-bit version and if you have 64-bit Microsoft Windows, download the Windows 64-bit installer.
