Installation halted with error 1334

Hi,

Recently I had some problems with my steam and I thought to repair it. While the repair was running whit error stopped the process and ruined my steam totally. Now when I want to install the steam again I have the same error. Someone can help me please to fix this error ? Why I had this error while repairing ?

Error 1334. The file ‘Support.url’ cannot be installed because the file cannot be found in cabinet File ‘Cabs.w1.cab’. This could indicate a network error, an error reading From the CD-ROM. or a problem with this package.

Installation halted with error 1334

It seems that the error you encountered somewhat corrupted the installer you are using and that’s not good because the Steam Client program will be coming from that installer and in this state, no installation is possible. But this won’t be a problem because you can always download and install the Steam Client since it is free unlike the games they offer.

Since your Steam installer is already corrupted, download a fresh copy of the installer from Download Steam Client. If you are running Microsoft Windows, you can download the client directly from this page but if you are using a different operating system such as Mac OS X or Linux Ubuntu, instead download the client from Download Steam Client for Mac and Linux.

When downloading the client for Mac OS X and Linux, click the link below the Install Steam Now green button that says Mac and the other is Linux. Once downloaded, uninstall the Steam Client currently installed and restart your computer. Run the newly downloaded installer after booting.
