Hello,

My laptop doesn’t work with any camera. I get an error. I don’t know which program is using it. I tried using software like “SplitCam” or “ManyCam”. I also reinstalled K-lite codec to the newest version, but am still getting this error.I get the same error when I turn my Canon video camera to laptop using fire wire cable. Can anyone help me please to fix this ?

Error installing driver for the virtual SplitCam capture device

Hi Martha,

It means that your Canon video camera is not applicable to you laptop or you do not have the driver of that video camera. You don't have to use any software to run your device in your laptop because each camera has its own driver or application that will generate to run in other devices. You have to find the model of your camera then download for the driver. Your laptop should meet the requirement of the device installer. You can also use the standard cable of your video camera to connect it in computer.
