Hi, my power dvd is having a problem when I am trying to play a dvd. It is showing ERROR 80040216.i searched for solutions in the forums, but I didn’t find any. If you have any idea about solving this issue, then please let me know.
This error happens to occur because several sound drivers do not allow an audio output channel if there is no output device attached (eg : headphones , speakers) . This issue usually raised in Windows Vista or Windows 7.
Therefore, you need to have any output devices like speakers or headphones before performing  the following solution below
1. First of all, please close the PowerDVD program.
2. Please attach any of the output devices such as loudspeakers or headphones into the green audio jack socket.
3. If a dialog box prompted , choose the type of the attached device in step 2 above.
4. Finally, go to Start menu and relaunch PowerDVD.
