Hi, I have upgraded from windows XP to windows 7. But in 7 my power DVD 4.0 is not working.

It is showing an error an  message telling  ERROR  F6F00018.

I have tried some possible solution reading a manual and reinstalled the program twice but couldn’t solve the problem.

Do you know how to settle this problem?

Power DVD not working after OS upgrade

ERROR F6F00018 is typically caused by VGA card could not  allow overlay function.

Considering almost all display cards are capable of supporting only a single overlay, thus the Power DVD will not be able to access it if another application is already using it.

Therefore, I suggest you performing the following solution below :

1. First of all, please quit all applications which could commit encase task on your system, such as Windows Media Player or any other  DVD players).

2. After that, please install DirectX 7.0 on your computer. If you do not have it yet, please click this link to get it .

3. Then, please change your color depth, refresh rate and screen resolution to a lower level.

This solution should work fine for you. If it does not, my final advice is to try upgrading your VGA card.
