Error 29001 while Installing Vault Server 2013

Hello,

It’s common to get this kind of error message

Error 29001. Vault management error: Could not load file or

assembly 'IFilterWrapper'” or one of its dependencies. An attempt

was made to load a program with an incorrect format.

If you try to install Vault Server 2013 on a computer that had previously Vault 2011 or 2012.

Error 29001 while Installing Vault Server 2013

Hi there,

 

Yes, this is a quite common error that appears when you try installing the newer version of the Vault Server on the computer that already had installed the previous version. Although this is a bit annoying, it is really easy to be fixed following the following steps.

 

Start the IIS Manager via Control Panel-Administrative Tools.

Find the DefaultAppPool, right click the icon, and select View Applications.

 

 

You will get a list of applications. Select them, right click and choose Change Application Pool. Once they are selected, move them into the ASP.NET v4.0 application pool. Right click the ASP.NET v4.0, select the Advanced Settings and make sure that the option Enable 32-Bit Application is set up to False.

 

After it's done, you should be able to install the software without the problems.
