The error is referring to a particular TMP file, pte852.tmp, which is obviously a temporary file. If you updated Autodesk Vault Workgroup 2014 before then this is probably the temporary file left in your previous update. Maybe this file got corrupted that’s why it is no longer accessible and your current attempt on updating it fails.

If several attempts have already been made and still no luck, try reinstalling it. Uninstall Autodesk Vault Workgroup 2014 then restart your computer. After booting, click Start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, and then select Disk Cleanup. Select drive C and click OK. Check Temporary Files, click OK, and then click Delete Files.

Install Autodesk Vault Workgroup 2014 back and then try updating it again. See if this works. Also, try running it as administrator when you do the update. Right-click Autodesk Vault Workgroup 2014 on your desktop and select Properties. Select Compatibility tab and check “Run this program as an administrator” under Privilege Level.

Click OK and then start Autodesk Vault Workgroup 2014. Start updating it and see if it works.
