Hi! Recently, I am getting an error 0x80070005 "You don’t have permission to…" when I attempt to install or update application. I have tried System restore and all the things that I know but still no success. I hears this portable freeware tool by Rizone called Rizone Security Restore but I am not very familiar with it. I hope someone can help me with this. Thanks!

Hi,
The error “ 0x80070005 "You don’t have permission to…" can be due to either of the two reasons:
1. You are not logged in as an administrator in windows XP, Vista, 7.
2. There can be a malware activity in your system
Instead of using third party applications, I suggest that you perform the following tasks first:
•    Check that you have the administrative privileges
To check this, right click on my computer – click on manage, and you will notice your name on the right pane (fig 1)

Again right click on the user name, and click on properties, and click on member of. Here add administrator. Click on Ok
(If you receive error for this job also, then you have to log in as “Administrator”. Refer  the Link: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/14028/windows-7-how-log-on-as-an-administrator
.
And perform the above mentioned steps.
After this try updating , If you still receive the same error, than it is better to check the malware activity.
If you any antivirus , then perform a full scan, and if the AV is not present, download  the Microsoft safety scanner from: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/wdsi/products/scanner
And scan your system.
.

PT
