Ice Cream Sandwich is definite improvement over the previous Android OS. It makes use of the new release phone's specifications, since faster processors are being developed and released with new devices. Most of the developments of the 4.0 OS are mostly visual. The OS is meant to be more interactive. One example is the development of Face Detection unlock feature. It enables you to unlock your phone by scanning the saved visual features of the user (although I think it will be subjected to more changes). As for Motorola devices, be patient as it is hard to port updates to devices. You could always root your device (it will void your warranty, so be aware of the risks) and load a custom rom with a ported OS update. And yes there is Arabic text support for Gingerbread update.
