i am creating a copy of a dvd with nero 7 as i used to, BUT! for the first time when burning a message tells me the volume on my dvd is too large excess of 5GB!! how an original dvd can have more than 4.7GB?? i do not understand!!
DVD too heavy refused by nero
Dear Johan weiz,
What the NERO software says is right, and YES! It is true that an original can have a storage capacity more than 4.7 GB it can have a storage capacity of a lot more like 8.54 GB ( single sided, double layer).
A single sided single layered DISC has two varieties 1.46 GB and 4.70GB
And a single sided Double layered also has two varieties 2.66 GB and 8.54GB (I guess you have bought this one J)
The DVD that has the highest capacity is Double sided Double layer and has a capacity of a massive 17.08 GB
Hope this clears the misunderstanding
