Hello! I have a channel and I have different videos related to football on it. I would like to add music to my videos too but I am not sure if I will be breaking the copyright law or not. If I set a background music, preferably a few songs of the famous singers, does it mean I am breaking the law or not?

Copyright Laws for music videos on Youtube

Solution: If the content is copyright-protected material, then the permission is required from the material owner.

If not, background music or any sound effect can be added to a video
using the youtube Audio library. This library also helps to find
music that is managed by copyright owners, this way uploaded video will remain
on YouTube with ads, and the revenue will be paid to the owners of the music.
