Hello Kristan.
To transfer music from a cassette to your computer, you will need the following:
1. Cassette player that preferably has RCA Line Out. However, a stereo headphone output would also be okay.
2. A computer with a sound card that has a Line Input port.
3. Audiograbber (http://www.audiograbber.org/) software for recording from Line In and conversion to MP3 format.
The process is basically this:
1. Rewind or fast forward your tape to the desired section.
2. Connect the cassette player's Line Out or headphone out to the sound card Line In port. Cables for this are readily available at electronics stores.
3. Run Audiograbber and set it to record from the Line In port.
4. Convert the resulting WAV file to mp3 using your preferred mp3 encoder.
