Maybe there is some software that you have installed that is causing you to have trouble using the character collection, because I do not think the error may be caused by a bug in yahoo because that will mean that about all users will be affected.

You will need to check your system, and if there is any program that you installed you will need to remove it. Go to the control panel and check the latest program that you installed that might be causing the problems and remove it. Or you could alternatively use the system restore utility to remove any changes you may have made to the computer that are causing the problems to occur.
