CCleaner is not clearing my history

I used CCleaner to clean my windows pc. I recently noticed that it is not deleting cookies and clearing the history of my visited websites. Google Chrome is my default browser so I had to go to settings>tools>clear browsing data every time I want to do it. I checked CCleaner and under Google Chrome, internet cache, cookies and history are all checked.

My CCleaner version is v3.02.1343. I have been using it for so long because it speeds up my computer’s performance. I don’t know if the problem is on my Google chrome settings. Is there a fix for this?

Good day John,

We must first check if CCleaner will clean your cookies using different browsers(IE8,Mozilla,Safari). Try to use other browser and see if Ccleaner can delete the cookies stored by that browser. If you are using CCleaner v3 please try to check the settings in CCleaner if the drive C: is check under Options>Settings then navigate all the way down and find the "Wipe Free Space Drives" category, then check the necessary drives you want to include in cleaning. If CCleaner can delete the cookies from other browsers maybe the problem lies solely to Google Chrome. My suggestion is to re-install Google Chrome and be advised to download the newest version of Google Chrome…

CC Cleaner is the software application used to remove the items that are not required and gets the storage in the system in the name of free space in cleaning of PC.

The reason may be that the file in the application may be damaged due to some reasons so its better to check once and also if possible try to convert it to other format to check whether the full files in the application is present or any data is missing.

Check also with the application whether it is newer version or the old version and if is older one it's better to upgrade to new version so that additional features will be added to the application.

The problem may be with missing files of adobe reader you are using so its better to uninstall completely and then you re-install it with a fresh copy of application so that error may not be raised again with ease of loading the files in which you are willing to access.

Thank You.
