Hello,

I have the latest version of Camtasia Studio and it seems like it doesn’t support TSC2 codec. I think Camtasia is a product of TechSmith and it should work without a problem ? Does anyone have any idea about this error ? Why is not compatible ?

Thanks !

TechSmith Screen Codec 2

TSC2 only allows compression from TechSmith products.

Follow the steps below.

  • Brows the Camrec file saved in your computer.
  • Right click on it.
  • Select "Extract" to extract "AVI" from "Comrec"
  • Play that file in CS.
  • If it do not run then play it with window media player.
  • If it is still not working then your file is might be corrupted. You need to record it again.

The other way to to fix the error is to check the version and drivers.

  • If you are using latest version then you to update your drivers too.
  • Make sure that the file you are trying to open is encoded in TSC2. If not, encode it in TSC2.
