Adobe Acrobat 7.0 document error

Hi,

I am using Ubuntu 7.04 along with plugin for Firefox and have successfully installed Adobe Acrobat 7.0. Adobe Reader is able to open all PDF file but it requires ID Password for PDF created by Service Centre.

Adobe Reader opens the Document so created in Windows XP (requires Internet Connection) but it generates an error message in UBUNTU 7.04 and fails to detect the Internet connection, though Firefox happily broses even the adobe site. I tried every step that I can but I can’t do anything without expert’s suggestion so help me to resolve this error. Thanks.

If the document has a Document Rights Management applied to it than you normally need to log in to read the document. Then it will be the situation that the document is trying to connect to the LiveCycle server to verify permissions. Please make sure your server's firewall (Windows' firewall or any antivirus firewall) is closed or the SSL port was not blocked by the firewall

There are different ways to fix this problem. Follow the steps to resolve the issue.

1. Go to start menu and select Adobe Acrobat to launch the application

2. Go to Preferences through Edit option

3. Chose the “General” option exist in the left side

4. You have to uncheck the option “Enable Protected Mode at startup”

5. You will get a dialog to close the application for the better effect. Click on “Yes”

6. Just save your changes

7. Exit the Adobe Acrobat 7.0

I hope this will help you! Thanks.
