Hello everyone! My personal computer had Windows Vista in it before but I was thinking of upgrading it to a newer version of OS. So finally I upgraded it to Windows 7 but after I updated it, my hard drive stopped working after that. I don't know what the problem is, but I really want all the data from my hard drive because its important. How can I retrieve the data? Please help!

I lost the menu bar now I tried many ways to recover it but I am unable to do so. Some time it appears but a I remove the mouse from that it goes. Please anyone can guide me to get it back permanently. So it will make my easy.

Hi! In a multiprogramming operating system, how does the OS decide which program will be executed next? I mean I know that a priority is set but what are the basis on which this priority is set? Is there some kind of algorithm used or does the heavier program(more data) gets executed first?

Hello! I have a question related to the desktop computers we use in our homes and offices and the laptops that we use. What kind of programming is used in these computers, single programming or multi programming? What I know about these terms is that in single programming only one program can be executed at a time whereas in multi programming more than one program can be executed at the same time. I do know that the big computers at big computer stations use multi programming but what about the computers that we use?

I am running the Window 7 currently. But it have lots of function that i do not like. Acutely i have to do only the basic Microsoft office work on it. So i did not like the version now i want to do back to the Window XP is there any way so i can do that.

I have HP desktop and I turn situation on the situation is not booting. A black screen is showing. The text says that I need a safe mood. Or start Windows normally. These two choices. I have ticked on all of them from one to one. Just my xp window is not booting and I think I don’t need a startup CD.I am just toward throwing my PC. All my files are saved in drive: When I connect them from the laptop to my PC, I can see all my files, but don’t have access to open them because it requires permission, and when I try to open it, the word “read only” appears and then the error appears such that “You need permission to perform this action.”
