While trying to run Disk Cleanup in windows xp, the program can go to the first three bars and when it checks the files and then stops there, no movement. If I restart this process, it never comes up totally

I can’t delete a certain file it says an error “file in use” or sometimes “access denied”. What should I do? I’m running Windows XP.

I installed window XP professional on my PC quite few times. On first time I start my computer its start normally. When I shutdown and for the next time I start my PC after Welcome screen there is nothing appear on Desktop. I wait for half and hour but noting appear on screen. I also restart my computer but the same problem I face. Then I press Alt+Ctl+Delete the task manager window open and I end the processes. But the problem is still their. Then I logoff my PC from the task manager window. It’s started normally. I done this quite few times then my PC getting normal, my question is that, what’s the cause of getting computer hanged although I ended all the process one by one. And how it’s come in normal after three to four time logoff from task manger window?

After installing a bunch of software needed for my job, I noticed newly added folders, in which I really don’t find anything useful for me. The folders are My Sharing Folders and Web Folders.

I want to know if it is safe to delete them. If yes, how can I remove it?

I don’t want to waste my computer memory for these unwanted and unknown folders.

I am  going to tell you about one problem of my computer. After starting my computer then it is very good. But sometimes when I click on the mouse I introduce two problem:

1. Then mouse cursor cannot work perfectly.

2. Browser and start  bar  hang.

A text has been appear in the top bar: not responding?

As a solution then quickly I pressed Ctrl+Alt+Del. But it is the same and no change. Then must be restart my PC.

Can anyone tell me what is the correct solution?

I am receiving an error code while updating Windows 7 and the updating process doesn't proceed well. This may be due to any hardware or software fault, I couldn't understand that. Following message appears on the screen whenever I try to update my current operating system.

"An error occurred while checking for new updates for your computer, Error code 80072EFD"

After rebooting my computer, I notice a rectangular dotted line on my desktop icon, in which if I clicked on the other icon the dotted lines will be placed there. This line will disappear if I click anywhere on my desktop.

But when I click back on the desktop, the dotted lines will be back again.

It also happens when I open Control Panel, the dotted lines are also in one of the Control Panel option, even if I did not click into it. How can I remove this?

Please help me.

I’m using Windows Vista.

I am working online with clients from another country. I am running Windows Vista Home Premium Service Pack 1 and would like to know if it’s possible to add additional clocks on my system tray, wherein I can add the current time of my clients abroad. And also is there a sort of alarm clock, that I can install on my computer?

Also let me know if there are any third-party software needed. Please give me your suggestions.

I am using Windows 7, recently I reinstalled Windows 7, but whenever I try to run any executable file, I get an error, “the path doesn’t exist“. For some cases it throws an error when saving files like text, doc etc. Stating that I don’t have enough permissions to save the file.

I am using Windows Xp in my laptop. But today it is suddenly shut down. I don't know what's the problem actually. When i open my laptop it is ok, but after a few time it 's automatically shut down. There is no message shown before shutting down. The problem is happening again and again i start the laptop.
