Windows OS

Windows OS

Hello everyone,

I’ve recently started operating on Windows XP on my laptop and had no problems until now. But after the last time I’ve updated windows I got this error message when I turn the computer on:

A`NSISu_exe – Entry Point Not Found

“The procedure entry point CM_Get_Devise_IDA could not be located in the dynamic link library SETUPAPI.dll.”

If you have any ideas what could be the problem post here. Thank you in advance.

Hi, I’m having this annoying little problem that’s starting to cause trouble on my PC. While I’m searching the web using Google Chrome an error message pops-out during the visit of some sites I’ve already visited 1000 times before and had no trouble getting to. The message is this:

AutoClicker.exe – Application Error

“The application failed to initialize properly (0x0000135). Click on OK to terminate the application.”

Why is this happening and why now? Thanks for any advice.

Hello,

Not so long ago I upgraded to Windows 7 Pro. It works great, and I haven’t met any problems until now.

But from some reason I am not able to import a downloaded title into iTunes which use to work fine while I was operating on Vista.

Audible Download Manager

The error is this: “Title “Under the Dome (Unabridged) Part 1” has not been added to iTunes.

Please manually import the title file

C:UsersPublicDocumentsAudibleDownloadsUndertheDomeUnabridgePart1_mp332_username.aa into iTunes”

Hey everyone, I’m having trouble running ACDSee Pro 2.5 on my Windows XP OS.

The installation went smoothly but when I try to start up the application I get an error message that looks like this:

MyACD Error

The registry was tampered with. Please reinstall the application.

I’m not sure if it’s a problem with the new version, because with the old ones I never had it, or it could be something else…

Please send ideas and solutions, I would greatly appreciate it.

Hello there! I recently installed a new version of Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit version. The thing is I am having trouble obtaining an IP address using DHCP, however, I can connect using a fixed IP address. Windows is set to default to 169.X.X.X address and subnet mask of 255.255.0.0. The machine I am using has all the latest patches and its license is fully registered. Do you have any idea what could have happened to my system? I am looking forward to your response. Thank you.

Hello! I have this netbook and I am running Windows 7 32-bit edition in it. Just recently, I installed Oracle 8 on my netbook. The installation was successful but when I tried starting the database, it just wouldn’t start. I tried starting it via services.msc but it didn’t work. I also tried entering a username and password on the main screen of Oracle but I got this error message saying that it was unable to connect to TNS. Do you guys happen to know what could be wrong? I hope you can help me. Thank you.

Hi there! Can any of you teach me how to install Windows 7 and Windows XP on my laptop? I’ll be working for Sun Life Financial and I need my laptop to run Windows XP since it’s what the company use. The thing is what I have right now is Windows 7. I just need to know if there’s a way for me to split my hard drive so that when my laptop boots, I’ll be able to choose between Windows 7 and Windows XP. I don’t want to uninstall my Windows 7 because I’m using it for personal reasons and I don’t have an installer CD either so reinstalling it is not really an option right now. Can you give me suggestions on how I could do this? Thank you very much.

Hello! I have a little problem installing Windows Server 2008. I tried installing it unattended using unattend.xml. I did this on a virtual machine that has three drives—C:, D:, and E:–partitions I created using DiskPart before actually clicking setup.exe. The problem is once I start the installation, I get this error message saying “Setup was unable to create a new system partition or locate an existing system partition. See the Setup log files for more information.” I have no idea what’s going on and I am hoping you could help me. I would appreciate any advice. Thank you.

Hi there! I have a question about Windows 2008 updates. I updated my Windows and next morning and I noticed that the firewall of all my Windows 2008 R2 had been turned on. I believe GPO does not have policy that automatically enables Windows’ firewalls. Have any of you encountered the situation where the Windows 2008 Firewall is enabled on its own? I hope you can help me figure this out. Thank you.

Hello there! I need some assistance on how to cleanup Winsxs Directory on Windows 2008 64-bit. I am running Windows 2008 Server STD SP1. The C: is worth 100GB and 50Gb of it is occupied by C:WindowsWinsxs. I have learned that there are certain commands to clean this folder such as “vsp1cln.exe” for Windows 2008 SRV with SP1 and “compcln.exe” for Windows 2008 SRV with SP2 but I have never used these commands. I just want to know if it’s safe to use these commands and what are the problems I might encounter should I use them. I hope you can help me. Thank you.
