I am receiving the following error message while trying to install Microsoft Office Word on my Dell computer pre-installed with Windows XP Professional: Error: 1402. Could not open key H-key_local_machinesoftwaremicrosoftwindows currentversionrunoptionalcomponentsmsfs.

Verify that you have sufficient access to that key or contact your support personnel. Can anyone help me solve the issue?

My Windows 7 computer is throwing almost 7 Java error messages. I have tried contacting Java but never got any reply. Is this problem caused because of downloading Oracle Office? Other than this my computer is found to be working fine. The numbers of the errors are as follows: 296, 4312, 2688, 3016, 3088.

My computer is Windows XP Home Edition SP3. I downloaded the trial version of EDIUS 6 and unzipped the folder. I double clicked the SetupManagerForEDIUS.exe file according to the instruction. But file didn’t open. Clicking the Setup.exe threw a "License agreement" window along with an error “17001 – System error". I have Let's Edit software installed on my computer. Hi there! Unfortunately, I removed a file from my computer by mistake. My Windows XP computer doesn’t have Deep Freeze (an application which reverts my computer’s setting at boot up). Is there any way for me to recover the deleted file? Thanks a lot to those who can give me a hand.

I have been using the Retro software to backup the Windows XP computer to an external hard drive. Recovery from trojan attack made me to think making a recovery CD. So after the system recovery, I backup all the files and proceeded to make a CD. I have the recovery partition on the hard drive and also have installation CD. In the process of making the CD Retro prompted to insert the installation CD and redirected itself to the recovery partition.

I have a windows 2008 Domain controller and the below error is on that system.

Process ExSetupUI.exe (PID=4216). An remote procedure call (RPC) request to the Microsoft Exchange Active Directory Topology service failed with error 1753 (Error 6d9 from HrGetServersForRole). Make sure that the Remote Procedure Call (RPC) service is running. In addition, make sure that the network ports that are used by RPC are not blocked by a firewall.

We are setting up 20 new windows 7 systems and i get this error in the event log.

NtpClient was unable to set a domain peer to use as a time source because of discovery error. NtpClient will try again in 3473457 minutes and double the reattempt interval thereafter. The error was: The entry is not found. (0x800706E1)

I just want to make sure that we set up all machines with 0 issues

All systems will be in a Domain

The Collect Procedure for the "EmdCache" service in DLL "C:Windowssystem32emdmgmt.dll" generated an exception or returned an invalid status. The performance data returned by the counter DLL will not be returned in the Perf Data Block.

The first four bytes (DWORD) of the Data section contains the exception code or status code.
