Windows OS
A lot of Microsoft security updates are in pending for installation, however, whenever I try to install these an error message always show up saying, "upload failed". When I clicked the link for help with errors, a message shows saying, "check your hard disk for errors." I did check the drive C and D but I did not find any errors.
Any suggestions or advices please?

A laptop has two partitions in its hard drive and I was trying to fix it. The first part is totally shot, while the other one still have a 9Gb of free space. I used it as a place of recovery files, but I have to delete the recovery agent to leave a space for reinstallment.
I did this as a help for a college student who could not afford to buy a new computer. Now when I start up the computer, the screen says there is no operating system. I do have Windows Vista OEM, however, I could not get into the command prompt to run the setup. Please give me some advice. Thanks!

How do you expand the partition size in Windows XP?
What if you delete the backup partition, and then you want to use the free space to add to the main partition, is it possible?

I have been getting this faulty message ‘An error was encountered while indexing. Another program may be locking X1’s files.
The database has been cleared, and indexing has been stopped. Restart it to try one more time.
If the problem recurs, try closing other programs until indexing is complete.’ I am using X1 Version 6.2.2 on Windows 7 PC.
It was unable to repair an index even if I leave it as the only application running.
I don’t use any backup software, and I also scanned my PC for viruses.
Please send some help.

I own an external hard disk and I want to check it for errors. Thus, I performed error checking from Properties>Tools. I ticked the two options: “Automatically fix file system errors” and “Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors”. For a while, I believed it stopped scanning so I decided to click the Cancel button and then the disk is unserviceable.
It displayed a message: “X: is not accessible. Access is denied." I encountered that message again after I attempted to check for errors. Kindly help me with my problem.

I left my laptop on last night when I went to bed. When I woke up, I checked on my laptop and I was shocked to see on the screen that Windows will not start, instead it's either I will run the Repair Setup of Windows or start it normally. I chose the repair setup but it got stacked up in loading.
The HDD light is on portraying that it is running. I attempted to run windows normally but same thing happened; it was stacked in loading screen. So I tried running it in a Safe Mode, Windows loads for a while, then showed the welcome screen. I thought it was going to work but after the blue screen flashed, it restarted. Since I don't have any choice, I tried rebooting it with Windows DVD Installer as well as with the HDD, but still, same thing happened.

I have upgraded Windows NT to Windows 2003. The common factors of Windows NT are the Primary Domain Controller and Backup Domain Controllers. The rest is under Windows 2000 or 2003 representative hosts.
My concern is, as I am updating my NT website remotely to Windows 2003, do I have to perform other things with my Windows 2000 or Windows 2003 representative hosts which are from the NT website?

My server is Server 2008 R2 box which runs as KMS server as well. It has 35 clients who are using MS Office 2010. I used the customization tool to create an installer package so as to activate it through KMS. However, my clients could not activate the program. I can forcibly activate it though ospp.vbs and set the host of KMS, just that it would be nicer if my clients can automatically activate it using KMS. What do I have to do?
