I was trying to upgrade my Windows Vista Ultimate 64-Bit to Windows 7. 

In the startup of the installation it gave me a pop up saying.Windows Setup experienced an unexpected error. 

To install Windows, restart the installation. 

Error code: 0x583. I tried reinstalling many times but it's still the same.

I am trying to install AutoCAD Architecture 64 bit, but, it does not install because it is saying that there is an issue with the OS compatibility. I am not sure of what is going on, but, I need this to be installed right away.

I have a very important deadline to meet. I would also like to ask if I can convert AutoCAD 2010 to AutoCAD Architecture? I would really appreciate your immediate response on the matters at hand.

The message appears whenever I turn on and shutdown my computer. I am curious of what is causing this error to pop up. Others say that this error is caused by several reasons that may need further drilling down.

I was using voice text on that last one. wow. sorry about that. Here is my dilemma. I had a wiped HD that I formatted, partitioned, and tried to install WIN XP Pro onto. My XP disk was scratched, so installation is halted. I don't have access to another XP disk, but I DO have a fresh Win 7 cd. I need to know how to reformat the HD so that I can install Win 7. I do not have access to another computer. I need to be able to format and reinstall from the same machine I'm working on.

on a completely wiped hard on a completely wiped hard drive. My cd was rather scratched I do not have another xp pro I do not have another xp pro cd, but I do have a fresh windows 7 cd. How can I format the hard drive to get what is installed of xp pro off of it so that I can install windows 7? to pop the hard drive to pop the hard drive into. I need to be able to reformat from the existing computer.
