My connection to the internet keeps getting disconnected when I connect the Untangle box. I am attempting to utilize Untangle to be connect between two routers, like this: switch –Router — Untangle/Bridge — Router — Firewall – Internet. Do I have to give a static IP address to the our external NIC?

We have two areas, each with five static IP addresses connecting through Comcast Cable. Comcast connects through SMC 8014 using a static IP address to Link with a VPN router (Linksys WRV 200) for one area and another VPN router (WRV54g) for the other area. The routers perform perfectly with the internet connection. However, I have another router (IPSEC Router) to connect the two VPN routers in the two areas. Is anybody doing something similar?

How should I proceed? I could use the Linksys R016 VPN routers but I would like to find out if I can get the first option to connect before using it. Please help.

I wanted to try out CRM applications and software at Salesforce so I signed up for a trial account. I needed to install Riva software for the Salesforce application. I successfully connected the Riva software with our Exchange server through an Admin account. However, I am running into problems configuring Salesforce using the trial account I set up.

The following error comes up while configuring it: The remote server returned an error: (407) Proxy Authentication Required. I tried un-checking the “Use Proxy Server checkbox” from internet explorer tools and get the following error message: Unable to connect to the remote server.

My two routers are connected by a bridge and I would like to determine what devices access our network using the two routers. I am searching how to perform network mapping.

Basically, we need a single sign on, for users to connect to our intranet when they are in the office and connect through a virtual private network where they will be able to view the intranet.

The problem is if accessing the intranet outside the office, users need to enter their active directory user name and password to validate their access via lightweight directory access protocol (LDAP) because authentication falls to forms authentication. How can we avoid going through this? Thanks.

I am wondering if the "Static Routes" function of my Netgear WNR2000 router will be helpful for what I'm trying to do, and if so, how to use it. I have a question regarding the connectivity of the following three things: outlook, yahoo mail, and a lot of computers on a network. I recently installed outlook at my computer at work. It then generated all my emails at yahoo mail. Is there any way I can do this with all the other computers at my workplace?

I want to have a uniform setting or email on all the computers. If this could be done, what if I remove an email in one of the computers in outlook? Would all the other computers be affected? I.e., will they be updated also?
