I would like to ask for some clarifications on matters regarding Cloud Computing, I hope that someone there could help me out with this…

Will all development and testing work platforms be migrated to Cloud Computing and will it be secured enough? As compared to using actual physical PCs with single OS, will the results be consistent?

I am running two systems, one on Windows and the other Linux.  I am wondering whether it is advisable to have two physically separate networks for each system so that the company’s commodity internet is separate from the financial database network.  Right now both systems are on the same network, and I am concerned that this might enable a very skilled person to gain access to both systems.  I would welcome any suggestions on this matter.

I am having a problem configuring the new computers at my workplace which are running on Windows 7 Pro x64. I would like to have these connect to the print server using the pushprinterconnections.exe, with the printers mapped through group policy. Adding the 64-bit driver for the Xerox phase did not help.

The other PCs running on WinXP x32 do not have the same problems and are functioning well. I am wondering if I have to create a new printer and also an AD container and policy in the Print Management. Clearly I am missing something. Hope you can help.

Thanks.

Has anybody ever had this situation where you have two IP addresses each having different service providers, different host names and different web info yet turn up with identical locations on the map?  I can’t quite figure it out. Thank you.

I am now using a 3G Data Card (brand name Huawei) but I used to access the internet using a cable connection through a router (Linksys WRT54G). The problem is my computer is unable to recognize the 3G Data Card and tells me I have no Ethernet connection. Please help me create my wireless network at home. I need to configure my computer or my router to recognize the 3G Data Card. Thanks.

I have two networks with the following IP addresses (192.168.1.0/24 and 192.168.2.0/30) to which my virtual router is connected. I am using the Junos Network Operating System. Is it possible for me to specify the network which should be the traffic source of the system? Here is the situation: the destination of system traffic is 192.168.2.2 and the system traffic from the switches comes from 192.168.2.1.

Can I indicate the traffic source to be 192.168.1.1 which is then made known to all of the enterprise? I would rather not use the a/30 route to get the DHCP Relay working. Can you help me work it out?

I am curious why the settings I chose in my PC for surfing the internet do not get saved. Every time I use the internet, I cannot see the pages of the websites I go to. I always have to check the settings and change the proxy settings and uncheck the box for “Use a proxy server for your LAN.” I have to do this every time, but after I’ve changed the settings the web pages come out without any more problems.

Can you help me how to keep the proxy settings I’ve chosen? Thanks.

I have an issue with CoRD not working properly. It keeps on failing to connect to a server that requires Network Level Authentication. I have no idea why this happens because there are no error messages or warnings. It seems that Network Level Authentication is not supported by CoRD but I was hoping it can issue a warning and detect Network Level Authentication. Is it possible to create a box containing causes and solutions?

Please suggest possible solutions. Thank you.

I have installed a remote desktop client called CoRD. I have no idea what version it is as I am not very familiar with MAC OS X. I noticed, however, that CoRD does not allow me to connect with servers of different subnets. When I connect with 2008 R2 server, they work just fine but when using a different subnet, I cannot connect. Could it possibly be due to a bug? How do I fix it?

I am trying to log in to VoIP using the following information:

  • Username: Your phone number, e. g. 086262xxxx – Note the 0.
  • Authorization User: Your phone number – e. g. 086262xxxx – Note the 0.
  • Password: VoIP Password.
  • Domain / Realm: iihne.iinet.nt.au.
  • SIP Proxy: sip.<state>.iinet.nt.au.

When I log in, I always encounter, “log in timed out. ” Upon checking my settings, I find a black where the outbound proxy should be and I’ve turned off the firewall. The administrators informed me that there is no trace of me logging in at all. I am using Windows XP SP2. Could there be something blocking my access?

Thanks.
