Networking

Can you please help me out with this problem? My purpose for installing a deep freeze program in every computer in my LAN house is for it to stay protected against various viruses and Trojans.

But when I already decided to enable the program a message like this appeared,

SuddenAttack System has failed to prevent an illegal program to be executed

SuddenAttack

Systemhas failed to prevent an illegal program to be executed.

Please restart your SA and try again later.

OK

Hi,

I wanted to know whether there are any plans for Trillian to be supported by adding LCS 2005 / OCS 2007 support. I know that to do so, the support will need to be included right at the core.

Is there any development on this site lately? The OCS/LCS plugin was broken for windows client recently, and there is no plugin support for the Mac version Trillian.

Hi,

In my new firmware, everything was working fine when I tried using ACL to set a roaming profile on QNAP until the connection to web interface was lost with AD. I tried to refresh bud didn’t work. QNQP doesn’t remember my Active Domain user’s on files, but I must somehow connect to Microsoft networking.

When I visit the domain users in qnap management, I’m getting a blank screen. Then the NAS was reconnected to the AD. I’m able to see Manager: owner 3002 when I use webfile manager.

MS ACL = unix3002 or unix user

MS ACL = Domaine + none

Can somebody tell me why my connection is failing and why my qnap is not remembering my files at AD

Hi friends,

We are currently conjunctively using CA Arcserve Backup v16 and Arcserve D2D v 16. The archserve software needs a login which is compatible with D2D service account for successfully backing up with the software. The backups are on QNAP box on simple share.

If such a login is not used, the error message that we receive is “RC=1314, A required privilege is not held by the client.” Is it possible for me to login as http://qnapaddresshere WebUI using a domain account?

I think that this would bring an end to all our problems. Another thing I noticed is that the changes I do in AD are not getting updated by lansweeper.

Please help me.

Hi,

I have recently installed 10.7 and tried both upgrade install mode and fresh install mode, but now I’m unable to get connected to my domain. The error message that I’m getting is “Network accounts are unavailable”.

I have found that the domain controller was able to be pinged blindly. The machine was recognized by the computer account corresponding to Active Directory.

The computer gives me a message asking if I wanted to join the existing account.

Can somebody help me with this please?

Hi,

I have a problem accessing the folders after I shifted my profile path to a new server. I did that by editing our DC’s GPO. The message shown is “ACCESS DENIED” even though I am logged in as an administrator. I have a thought about a solution, i.e. the ownership of the folder can be changed to administrator, and then can be set back to the user, and then we could successfully logon as a user.

But there is no point in having a GPO that is not functional. Another thing I did, but didn’t work was to provide the domain complete access to \serverprofiles$ and the inheritance including folders and its subfolders.

Hi,

My Netbook has been having problems connecting to Wi Fi since I changed my ISP from O2 to Orange. When I change the Netgear routers security to “Disable” I can connect to Wi Fi but when the “mixed WPA-PSK+WPA2-PSK” option is chosen data won’t transfer even though a message says the network is connected.

My Netbook is an Acer Aspire and I’m using a Windows XP operating system. I have changed the router security settings and contacted my ISP’s help desk but neither has provided a solution.

Has someone had a similar problem?

Does anyone know what the problem is and how to fix it?

Hi,

I decided to edit IPTC data on my laptop using InrfanView (v.4.25) as I do not have IMatch installed but now I can’t view the edited images using IrfanView or PS on my PC.

IMatch shows the images as thumbnails. When trying to open the images I receive error messages like “Decode error! Invalid or unsupported TIF file (IrfanView) or File cannot be opened due to wrong type of file (PS).”

Can someone help me solve this issue?

I really appreciate any help.
