I have a movie written in a CD.

The file extension of the movie is .vcd.

I have tried many software like including windows media player, quick time and etc, but it's no use.

It says that the software does not support the file. Is there any software i can use to play this video?

I am trying to install Windows 7 onto my Vista Acer Aspire 5536 laptop, and this message comes up,  'Please reconfigure your boot. wim file to use flag 9 settings for the first image, and restart your installation. Error code 0x8030002F'.

There is no help anywhere else, to this problem except people saying boot laptop from CD/DVD.  I have done this and the Windows 7 stuff does come up, but when it gets to installing it, a message comes up saying that I will have to take the disk out, restart my laptop and then let Windows load normally and...

I am using a Micromaxx laptop and all had been well until it crashed. I was initially using Windows XP SP3 and I decided to continue using it. The problem is when I install it, my computer don't produce any sound, but when I install Windows XP SP2 it produces sound. I have searched for micromaxx website for sound drivers over the internet but in vain. What can I do, i want to continue using the sp3 but with sound. Anybody with a clue on how I can get alternative drivers or what can I do?

I've been having some trouble with my computer lately. All my files are hidden, and I occasionally get a BSOD with an "IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL" message. I bought a 2nd gen Dell 14R laptop a month ago. I haven't used it yet, because I want to back it up before anything bad happens to it.  So I am trying to back it up onto an iOmega 500GB external hard drive, using Windows backup.

However, when the information is backing up, it only gets to about 60%,  before it stops and says that an error has caused the back up to fail.

I have a fresh, clean Windows 7 Pro x64 system with only updates and I think Office 2010 installed.

1. Java JRE (1.6.0_26) 32 bit installed.
2. Trying to install JDK (6u24) 32 bit. Offline installer fails with error 1722, which seems to be a generic Install Shield error.
3. Tried downloading again. Same result. Tried with JDK 6u25. Tried removing all Java traces. Nothing works.
4. Java.com suggests removing Java and installing offline. That's what I'm doing.
5. Workaround implemented: install full SDK with JDK, so the JDK resides inside C:Glassfish3jdk dir.

Here is an error message which comes up when I use the Divvy software. I am not a technical person and was not sure if someone can help me with this error message.

I'm learning the win32 api and i keep getting errors at one of my function prototypes where I'm trying to pass a reference variable of type POINT.

Here are the error messages.

error C2143: syntax error : missing ')' before '&'
error C2143: syntax error : missing '{' before '&'
error C2059: syntax error : '&'
error C2059: syntax error : ')'

I've played around referencing both classes and structs...

When saving a file in MS Visual C++ IDE I get an error message:

 “C:fdSdkSamplesEntityReadMe.txt” Cannot save file. The file may be in use by another application.

When I tried to saving the file again it erased all the changes I made and if I don’t save, it deleted the source file which is a bit annoying. I have an Antivirus installed with latest updates; Windows XP SP3 is also up to date.

I do not use this machine for any other purpose, so there is no chance of this application services being in use...
