I am in great trouble. My DVD drive burnt yesterday. Today when I was surfing the net, my PC got attacked by Trojan Virus. I don’t use any Antivirus. Now I need to setup my PC but my DVD ROM is gone.

So can I setup my PC from a pen drive? I want to setup Windows 7 OS in my PC.

Can anyone give me some solution?

I have a HP Pavilion dv9000z laptop. I bought this 2 years ago. Now recently when I tried to install Windows on my Laptop I faced this problem.

The problem is my DVD drive is not found anywhere. I went to device manager and I saw that it is nowhere to be found. I then restarted it. At last  I found it but when I started to boot from it, I got the same problem again.

 Is it my Windows problem or what?

This is my first post in Techyv.com. I read its post regularly. I have no problem since yesterday.

But in the night, when I go to start my Pc it never starts. I restarted it again and again.

But nothing works, then I reset the BIOS and the next thing is it doesn't start at all now.

Only the mouse light lit. What may be the problem?

My PC configuration is:

Processor: Core 2 Duo 2.53 GHz

Motherboard: Intel G33

Ram: Twinmos 2GB

HDD: Western Digital 500GB

PSU: 200W (built in)

I am having error while disabling the volume shadow copying service on my windows 2008 server which is installed on Pentium Core 2 Duo System having 4 of RAM.

The service was enabled, but it is not in use for any of our official activity. So, being on safe side, I tried to disable it so that resources used by this service become available to operations.

Whenever I download anything from any sites, I keep getting this error 1500.

It says:

Another installation is in progress.

Error 1500. Another installation is in progress. You must complete that installation before continuing this one.

If I clicked on retry, the same box will displayed again instantly. If I click on cancel, the box will disappear. And I cannot download the file I was trying to download. I am trying to update my Windows Server 2003 standard edition by installation of Service Pack 2. I am facing the following error.
