What is a digital signature?
Hello there!
A digital signature is an electronic signature can be used to authenticate the identity of the correspondent of a message of the signer of a document, and possibly to ensure that the original content of the message or document that has been sent is unchanged.
Digital signatures are easily transportable, cannot be imitated by someone else, and can be automatically time-stamped. The ability to ensure that the original signed message arrived means that the sender cannot be easily reupdate it later.
A digital signature can be used with any kind of message, whether it is encrypted or not, simply so that the receiver can be sure of the sender's identity and that the message arrived intact. A digital certificate contains the digital signature of the certificate-issuing authority so that anyone can verify that the certificate is real.
What is a digital signature?
Digital Signature acts like a serial number or a Mac address of a specific device. This authenticates the user that the data or document belongs to a legit person. This authenticates the document that it belongs and owned by you.
Most digital signature is used in print on a business card but can be imitated or copy. So, the digital signature will separate you from pirate/fame to a legit owner.
There are a number of software an be used available for download free or paid for service. This has a digital certificate containing your digital signature with authority verified by with a certificate provided by the authorized company.
