The name Software is related to Microsoft but it also makes hardware.
But what is better according to their consumers? What is the reason of it?

Microsoft has been dealing in making software all along till the recent emergence of the surface tablet that it has made. So when someone thinks Microsoft, the first thing that comes to the mind is software. Their windows operating system are widely used all over the world and therefore I would say what is better to Microsoft according to consumers is software.
But it may be better in hardware too. When the new about the surface tablet it has made were out, there were mixed reactions from other companies that deal in hardware like Acer claiming that if Microsoft has started making hardware what else will be left from them. Reactions like that show that Microsoft came up with a sleek device that could easily make its venture into hardware a success.
