When it comes to servers, you need to have some specifications on how and what you want your server to be like. First of all, you will need to identify what you want your server to do and the amount of storage space required for your server. This will depend on the work to be done by the server. If you have a huge task for the server, go for a super computer which has high speed and a large storage space but if you do not have a huge task, choose a small server to save on cost. You can buy a computer machine which has a high speed and good storage and then install server operating system in it such as Window server 2008. This saves on cost as compared to buying a whole server system.
