Hi Elaine,

Norton Antivirus 2004 fails to reload after reloading Windows XP Home Edition and updating its latest version?

Norton Antivirus license expire only after 1year and beside that every week theres an update for antivirus,

Norton Antivirus 2004 is epic for update from 2004 to 2012.

The license for Norton Antivirus consume for 1year only so every year you need to renew or buy a new Antivirus.

It fails to reload because your license for antivirus is already expire.

Buy new Norton antivirus 2012 to solve your problem.

You have 3 choices for Norton Antivirus, Norton Internet Security and Norton 360 total protection. 🙂

Hope this will solve your problem.

If your Norton AntiVirus failed to start after updating your Windows XP to the latest Service Pack and restarting doesn’t help either, try reinstalling it. Click Start, Control Panel, and then Add or Remove Programs. Select Norton AntiVirus from the list then click Remove or Uninstall and then restart the computer when you are prompted.

Click Start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, and then select Disk Cleanup. Select drive C then click OK. Check Setup Log Files and “Temporary files” then click OK. Restart your computer when it is finished. After that, install your Norton AntiVirus back. Also, check your license or your subscription period.

It is possible that your subscription period or your subscription days have been exhausted. If this happens, you only need to renew your subscription so your Norton AntiVirus can continue working. Since you are using a very old version, install the latest Norton AntiVirus.
