For those infected with the MACDefender malware, the following steps are recommended:

1. Open Applications > Utilities > Activity Monitor and quit any processes linked to MACDefender.

2. Delete MACDefender from the Applications folder.

3. Check System Preferences > Accounts > Login Items for suspicious entries

4. Run a Spotlight search for "MACDefender" to check for any associated files that might still be lingering.

Unistalling The LANDesk:
1. Copy the file "uninstallmacagent.sh" from the ldmain share on the core server to the local Macintosh machine.
2. Open a terminal window and change to the directory that uninstallmacagent.sh is located.
3. Change the execute settings on the file uninstallmacagent.sh using the command "chmod +x uninstallmacagent.sh".
4. Execute the file by running "./uninstallmacagent.sh.".

To transfer your address book:

Open Address Book and go to File > Export > Address book archive

Save the archive on your desktop

Send the archive [.abbu] file to your new computer [via email, Bluetooth, network, etc.]

Open Address Book on your new computer and go to File > Import

Navigate to the .abbu file you saved and it will import all of your contacts

Make sure that your keyboard is not paired with any other Bluetooth device.

In any event, a Bluetooth device may be paired with only one thing at a time.
